Survey/Consultant
During the construction of a new vessel or the refit of an existing vessel, there are obvious advantages in having an independent Surveyor inspect quality of work and progress. Other parties involved in the project may have some interests influencing their decision-making, whilst an independent professional Surveyor acts factually and objectively. The degree of involvement of the Surveyor could vary but is typically related to two types of inspections.
Special inspections are carried out before scheduled payments are due or other critical phases of the project are approached,the purpose being to assess wether the agreed work has been or is being satisfactorily accomplished and the specification of the contract fulfilled.
Full Inspection starts by assisting the client with a yard contract as our years of experience
in Asia has provided us with good insights for potential problems.
We then cover all aspects of construction, through equipment installation, paint prep,
to full systems tests and sea trials. Detailed reports with photographs are provided
after each inspection.
Lash and Load
This survey covers the loading and securing of yachts and cargo that are not containerized, this confirms to client/ insurance company that their cargo was loaded on board with no visable damage and secured/ protected correctly or lists any damage/ defects that may apply.
ONCE YOU RETAIN THE SURVEYOR, HE OR SHE WORKS ONLY FOR YOU AND REPORTS TO NO ONE ELSE. THE SURVEYOR IS THERE TO PROTECT YOUR INTERESTS!
